Since the founding of Sikkim as a state in India there are women with good positions in politics. But as (nearly) everywhere they are less then men. Nevertheless is their participation in society and economy higher than in other parts of India. Sometimes double-burdened with children and household she manages a lot. Traditionally not always following an easy path (“menstrual impurity”, purdah-obligations towards the father-in-law etc.) they try to overcome the negative aspects and strive with a strong spirit for an equal society – each in her own way. Thanks to the lady guide on this trip you get easily into contact with the women you meet. And that is going to be a lot!

| Day 3 | sightseeing and meetings in Gangtok |
| Day 4 | visit of Rumtek monastery and a women-NGO |
| Day 5 | Drive to the heartland of the Lepcha: Dzongu |
| Day 6 | Full day in Dzongu – with especially lots of encounters with women |
| Day 7 | Drive toh Kewzing; Buddha Park and Bon-monastery |
| Day 8 | Dayhike on Maenam Hill |
| Day 9 | Drive Kewzing – Tashiding (visit of monastery) – Yuksom |
| Day 10 | Yuksom (visit schools) |
| Day 11 | Drive to Darjeeling with visit of Kecheopalri-lake |
| Day 12 | Sunrise at Tiger Hill, walk to Ghoom, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Centre |
| Day 13 | More sightseeing in Darjeeling and drive by toy-train to Kurseong, stay at Makaibari-teaplantation |
