In Sikkim the trekking possibilities are a little limited due to the border to Tibet – but there are nevertheless new routes to discover! The heart of this tour takes you from Uttarey through Singalila-area to Sangkhola. Biodiverse vegetation changes with awesome views not only to Kanchendzonga but also to the further away Everest-group. This tour will be rounded with a varied itinerary in Sikkim with day hikes, bird watching, village encounters, an intense visit of the small monks in Dubdi and an insight into the small town with exciting history: Kalimpong
SHORT ITINERARY
| Day 1 | Individual departure from your home, arrival in Delhi or Kolkata. |
| Day 2 | Flight to Bagdogra, drive to Gangtok |
| Day 3 | Sightseeing in Gangtok (i.e. Handicraft-Centre, Enchey-monastery, Flower-Show…) |
| Day 4 | Rumtek-monastery, Gangtok and cooking class in the evening |
| Day 5 | Drive to Kewzing with side-trip to Temi Tea Gardens, village-walk |
| Day 6 | Bird-watching and walk to monastery Mangbru or what suits best |
| Day 7 | Buddha-Park Ravangla, Bon monastery and walk via Dalling to the accommodation |
| Day 8 | Drive to Yuksom with short walks to Rabdentse, Sanga Choeling and stopp in Pemayangtse |
| Day 9 | Hike to Kecheopalri-Lake, drive back by car |
| Day 10 | Walk to Dubdi monastery, meet Kamerakidz, crown place in Yuksom and so on in the huge village |
| Day 11 | Drive to Uttarey, the starting point for the trek. Stopp at the Alpine Gouda Cheese Factory, village walk |
| Day 12 | Trek Uttaray – Achhalay (2.000 m -> 2.600 m) |
| Day 13 | Trek Achhalay – Kalijhar (2.600 m -> 3.350 m) |
| Day 14 | Trek Kalijhar – Gairi (3.350 m -> 3.900 m -> 3.530 m) |
| Day 15 | Trek Gairi – Sikkim Megu (3.530 m -> 4.000 m) |
| Day 16 | Trek Sikkim Megu – Lam Pokhari (4.000 m -> 4.300 m) |
